I was looking for sun visors for my 1990 300D on ebay. Mine have the illuminated vanity mirrors.

I see references to early vs late model visors, coupe/cabrio vs sedan/wagon, extending vs fixed, and mirrors being type 1, 2, so on.

I cant see any differences (aside from fixed vs extending) and I tried a search on it, no luck. I'm afraid of getting visors off ebay and them not fitting.

I did see that the early model center console wood have smaller holes for the shifter bezel compared to the later models. It was very apparent when I tried installing late model wood onto my 89 260E with the early style trim lol!

Aside from the obvious wood trim on later cars that have corresponding recesses in the door cards and dash, any other interior parts that wont interchange between early and late cars?
