I am definitely going to try and make it. Years ago I had a buddy that lived on the south end of the lake.

Just thought of this.......I have to replace the head gasket on my daughter's "78" 240D and while I am in there also the cam. It has a couple of lobes that are warn and I may also need rockers. Sooo if anyone coming to the meet has the parts I need ......Dont anyone go out and rip open a parts engine cause this is still in the "mulling it over' stage but the car is using a guart of water every 2 or 3 days. Anyway email me off the forum fidlersg@olympus.net

Have a great Sunday all.

Getting close! Just wuz wunderin', Are we bringing our own lunches, ect? Or do we want to try a pot-luck-type thing? I figure it would be easier for everyone to just bring what they want this time, and if it goes well and we decide to do it again next year, we can talk about it there.
What ya think?

Weather cooperate? Are you an optomist or have you been breating the exhaust too long?
Anyway here in Western Washington what does a little rain matter anyway. An observant one can always tell when it is summer around here. The clouds are higher than in the winter.
Anyway, I may, just may, be able to make it. I hope so.

Cool good weather,good friends

We just got home from the meet and boy is my butt sore .Five members plus family brought the total to about twelve.gsamuelson(Greg)and his family and myself and family met at 8:30 am and waited over an hour to cross the border(Greg picked the wrong line to be in ) .Once we were across the line and had brunch in Bellingham the trip down took about 1 1/2 hours.rickg was probably wondering if anyone would show and we all arrived about the same time (an hour late,ah well, better late than never). It was very nice to talk with others about MB's and all of us had to open the hoods and show our babies off .I believe someone (not me ,I forgot to buy film )took some pics to post,so when's the next one?

I am sorry I did not make it to the meet. I got a late start because my kids were playing in a soccer tournament. Sean's game got over about 11 AM. Mapquest estimated the time to be about one hour and forty-five minutes. I figured, on well, I will be a little late, no problem.

I got to Lakewood which is at the south end of Tacoma in the normal amount of time. Then traffic stopped. It took me 40 minutes to get to the City Center/Tacoma Dome exit. I figured I would get to the park about 4:30. So, regretably I turned around and headed for home. I wish I could have made it. I hope someone took pictures. How many people/cars made it to the meet?

A great day with great people in a great place! oh and don't forget the great cars!!

Cruising down I-5 at speeds upto 130km/hr weehooo!!!!!!! Gotta love it! Our friends south of the border sure know how to build roads and drive them.

Good to see all those who could attend, nice to put faces to the names.

Oh and I picked the right line coming back across the broder, it was the one with no cars in it!:p hehe!

A thoroughly enjoyable day!
Everyone showed up about the same time, around 1 or 1:30 I think it was. We had a total of 5 deezls there. Not as good a turn out as I'd hoped, but not bad for a first attempt. A few couldn't stay for too long. Three of us stayed until about 6:30 or so.
I took some pictures, and so did Miles. I still need to finish the roll of film. Soon as I do I'll post my pic's. (Someday I need to get a digital camera!)
Was good to meet each of you. Everyone was very pleasant to visit with. Let's do it again next year!
P.S. Hey Miles! We gotta find you another deezl before next year! Only this time don't sell the thing

Damn....sounds like I missed a good one. we were going to go to a wedding east of the mountains the next day and stay in Seattle Saturday night after the shindig but it was not to be. I tripped out my back last week doing something dumb. Anyway glad to hear it went well and am sorry we couldn't make it.
