Cool Pacific NW Diesel Meet - August 17! All invited - details inside

Hello All,

Just a friendly call to all who would like to attend a nice, fun Diesel (but Gas invited too!) get-together/meeting opportunity that, until now, has recently just been rumored on this board. It's been confirmed!- The un-official Northwest Diesel Get-Together (and Gas, too!) launches off at Lake Sammamish St. Park, in Issaquah, WA (Approx 10 miles east of Seattle, off I-90), Saturday August 17th, from about noon-ish/mid day until whenever people choose to leave . . According to weather reports, it looks to be a bright, sunny day!, and i can vouch that the Park is notoriosly beautiful on such days. Plenty of picnic/recreation opportunities exist, so there looks to be lots of pathways for a great time!

It looks like Me (plus mom and brother) and rickg from the board will be there for certain (I'll bring the 240d)- We'd like to get an idea of who else to look for- who else would like to attend this fun event? We're looking for a general census I think at this point, of interested parties (raising of hands)... Of course, all are invited, not just Diesel owners. Those who are interested, reply to this message, - lets create a official thread of all who would like to attend...
Also, any questions, please feel free to send them my way..
Thanks for reading, and I hope to get a chance to meet all of you!

Miles

Cool

Sounds like fun!

If I'm able financially and schedulally (is that a word? ), I'd love to go up there...I've always wanted to visit the Washington area anyways.

I would like to come to the meet and see all the diesel Benzes. The only problem I have is I am afraid that all the cars there will be totally mint examples of their models! Then I show up with old Stella, with all her parking lot dings and miscellaneous other warts (Stella is the car my kids use to get back and forth from high shcool, one of only two Benzes at the school).

The car is actually in pretty good shape considering all her mileage and age, especially if I treat her to a good buff and wax. Also, I have seen a lot of other interiors that were toast compared to this car. Anyway, it sounds like I am talking myself into it. If anybody wants to alleviate my fears, please feel free.

Thanks,
Doug V.

I like that!
I get the impression most of us have cars that are of the "daily driver" catagory, complete with rock chips on the hood and parking lot dings on the doors. That's one of the things I like about this group. I have hesitated joining an official club, 'cause the ol deezl ain't no show car
Bring wathca got! We'll compare rock chips!

How interesting the last few days are!- As it turns out, I actually might be showing up diesel-less, as My friend's Parents want to buy my 240d really really bad (!). They love the car and want to pay me a pretty attractive price. So.. i might be showing up in another car(don't laugh!)- until i find another replacement- BUT in any case I WILL be there, and I can't wait to see all the diesels!
