I have most of the interior out of the 85TD. There is a plastic tank that is damaged in the back driver side corner. There are 3 lines going to it. One line is open to the interior and the other 2 slide in and out of the tank.


Is this a fuel tank vent or what? I obviously don't want diesel fumes in the passenger compartment. I say a metal tank sold on Ebay for $150 + $30 shipping. I doubt that will happen. I'm too cheap.

That's the fuel expansion tank. The one on my 85TD was cracked and, yes, one would smell diesel fumes.

While it was a number of years ago, I picked up a steel tank for a lot less than that through the parts board here.
