Flex Disc Repair...
Been looking around the forums and notice a lot of people discussin this. The part is cheap, but is it a big ticket to put one of these in? Is it common for these to fail? Would you consider them a "problem" on these cars? Thanks.

Kyle,
The flex disks usually last 200k miles or more, so I wouldn't call them much of a problem. It takes about an hour to replace each one so it shouldn't be a "big ticket " to replace them. It is definitely a DIY job which will make it a "no ticket" item. P E H |

Replacing the flex disks will not improve the power of the car. If they are not worn, there is no reason to replace them. A visual inspection will tell if they need replacement. Any indication of cords showing in the rubber is an indication that the disks need to be replaced.
