79 240D a/c belt tension

so I'm having a hard time getting an answer. I'm having trouble tensioning my a/c belt, it has a lot of play. Ive done a lot of searches, here and on google, and I keep getting answers for the a/c compressor located in a different location. My compressor is located on the passenger side top, above the alternator.
I tried loosening the tensioner pulley and move it around but the problem I come across is that the belt will rub on the vacuum pump.
Is my style York compressor in a fixed location? can it be adjusted too?
here are some pics to show the layout
