I've tested the NSS and bypassed it during testing to rule it out.

I don't think the key/tumbler is the issue since I have two of them and neither are working. I did notice that when the tumbler is out and I was using a flathead screwdriver to start the car.. that internal ignition assembly mechanism is now not engaging and just spinning. It seems like something is worn out or broke on the inside of the Ignition assembly.

That happened to me. The attached pic is not mine but mine broke there in the center at the part that rotates the Ignition Switch and in another spot.

The picture is what you would see if you removed the Ignition Switch from the Steering Colum Lock.

I don't know why the designers decided to make that part a thin aluminum tube.
