85SD coming along - finally
The 85 is getting paint. It's been a long time. 1st shop owner was a thief. This one seems good. It will still be some time before it's driving but I'm optimistic.
Edit: Here are some before pics and a walk around vid. The vid is a big file. https://ln2.sync.com/dl/447866e10/zcjrvzfj-ff8tx4fm-5h8jc482-83t2t5wi

New paint always looks SO nice. I love the faint smell of clear coat.

Looks very nice, though I would have kept the mirrors and plastic door cladding original - having those the same color as the car screams repaint.
I was quoted $5000 at a reputable shop for my '85.

Bumpers and cladding are different color and required different paint. (If my understanding is correct. )
Cladding and bumpers are not in the pic in post 1.

Yeah, I did think the cladding looked a bit thin in the pic. Right, bumpers and cladding are brownish/greyish but the original mirrors are also not the color of the body. They are silverish.
Did the prep involve taking it down to bare metal?
