Monarks, Bosio, and Firad are all quality nozzles
Stay away from Bosch Stay away from unbranded nozzles which has just the logo of a “spray” |

But how do we know that it's not merely the novelty of new unmolested freshly pop tested injectors in contrast to the old ones regardless of brand rather than the marvels of the Monarks or the fabulousness of the Firads?

Folks like Diseasel300, myself, and others here have tried multiple brands of nozzles on OM61x and OM60x engines. Don't forget the boldness of the Bosios!

Running the Firads, I've not touched anything since the initial setup. Zero issues in 10K+ miles. Considering the Firads are less than half the cost of the Monarks, the Italians will get my money again the next time I need nozzles. I'm considering buying a couple extra sets just to keep on hand. Your mileage may vary, I'm anal-retentive about my car being *PERFECT* and the Monarks left me cold.

Of course that being such a huge change from worn out poorly spraying nozzles to brand new ones, and going up a size improved the power more than anything, but I do want to get another set of firads and throw them in the grey car and see what it acts like with the balanced, good spraying but aged set vs a fresh new set of nozzles. I tried some china special deluxe nozzles before doing the junkyard nozzles in the grey car, and they were worse than the worn out old ones. I would sort of like to try a set of monarks now, but I also am quite fond of the sd314 performance, and it doesn't look like kent has those nozzles available, so I'll probably order some more firads over the winter.

Firads vs monarks and I've run both. I would buy Firads over Monarks without giving it any thought in future.

I was under the impression Bosio nozzles aren't available anymore. I remember that they sprayed the most fuel compared to all three.
No offense to the Firad fans intended but I trust Greazzer's word blindly. Given the sheer number of injectors he rebuilds, if he says Monark>Firad, that's where my money goes.

I do not ever recall a bum Monark nozzle out of the tube or prematurely failing so I’m surprised forum members had them.
Bosio does spray a smidge more fuel German made - German quality. |

You need to be a Bosch certified shop to have a line on Bosch Fuel Injection Parts. I remember my Boss showing me a nice threatening letter from Bosch saying they were thinking of pulling his certification as he was not ordering enough parts from them. And in fact were using generic companies Fuel Injection Pump gasket kits and other companies nozzles. When I worked in that Fuel Injection shop between the late 1970's and early 1980's the UK and US made better Injector Nozzles then the Bosch ones. Bosch nozzles were often a lot cheaper or simply more available and is why we usually used them.

The difference in Nozzle quality is in longevity. With the engines that go in W123s and earlier models when the production of those Nozzles went to India the quality plunged many not passing the pop/nozzle test or working well long in use. Some say that has changed but from what I have read they still have issues. Since 2007 both Monark and Basio have had at least one bad spell when their quality was not as good as it had been. That has never been explained but they both recovered from that.

One of the clearly some how got seated too deeply and is sprayed kind of a figure 8 pattern if you held a piece of cardboard under it. The other simply sprayed to one side a bit. I got them from Kent. I did not bother trying for any warranty as I was busy with other issues at the time. It is also likely I had lost the paper work on them.

Note I already had a Pop Tester before I got the Mercedes. when I first got the Mercedes I had that hot idle shake/rocking and a new Rack Damper did not fix it.
I rebuilt the Injectors with 7Diesels Nozzles (I was told they are from Italy) I bought from US Diesel in Texas. However, I changed them out for Monarks in 2008. Oh, and the new Nozzles and a valve adjustment got rid of over 80 percent of the shaking. I rebuilt my Injectors with Monark Nozzles in 2008 Installed injectors rebuilt with Monark spray nozzles I had trouble finding this post #7. "11-05-2014, 05:43 PM Note I pulled all My rebuilt Injectors (Monark Nozzles) at 28 K Miles and they were all great. They were still at 2000 psi or the ones that varied the Needle on the Gauge was touching either side of the Black 2000 psi line on the Gauge. om617 injection timing What I remember about pulling them and testing them is after 28K of use the Injectors I rebuilt with Monark Nozzles were essentially pop/nozzle testing the same as when I had installed them. That is the same set that is in the Car right now and working fine.

The Fuel Injection Pump is what determines how much Fuel goes to the Injector. So where is the more fuel you are speaking of coming from? Your foot on the accelerator pedal also determines how much fuel and what acceleration or speed you are attempting.
