What's This Cord Under My Driver's Seat?

Can someone tell what this cord is for? I pulled up rear carpet in my 81 300D sedan and I found this coming from under my driver's seat and I never noticed it before. My car originally came with electric windows and was converted to manual windows by a previous owner. My seats are manual too but is it possible that they were originally electric too? Could this plug be for electric seats?

No that is the seatbelt warning switch light. It should attach to a matching cord coming out of the seat belt latch.

That is the male end of the wire that originates at the driver's seat belt assembly. The female connection is typically located directly behind where the original carpet floor mat ends at the front of the driver's seat.

Is it the case that you have no operating seat belt warning light and buzzer?

Others are correct, seatbelt warning buzzer. No harm in having it disconnected, unless you miss the charming buzzzz..

It was indeed for the seatbelt buzzer. I found the receiving end and plugged it back in. Thanks for the info Everyone!
