SOLVED: How to clear DTC Codes? 1999 w210 E300D
I have a:
P0560 System Voltage code and took the car to autozoo to have the code cleared. Their reader didn't seem to want to erase the code. I checked the battery voltage before starting and get 13 volts. With the car running I get 14 volts. So I think that's ok. Would prefer to see 12.5 volts engine off but this was after driving the car a while. The previous owner (just bought the car) said he bought a new battery right before I bought it. So there's a good chance there was a voltage issue recently. I now have a few hours of drive time (and about 30-40 starts) on the car since I've owned it. I figured it'd clear itself but no luck there. EDIT: Problem solved. I drove it about 3 more times (maybe 30 miles) and started it a few dozen more times and the CEL went off on its own.
