Source For Glow Plug Reamer ?
Does anyone know a better source for a glow plug reamer than Performance Products at $135.45 each?
Seems a bit expensive. Ken300D |

Considerably better! Their part number is 901-0053 as entered into the search engine at the bottom of the page.
Anyone actually have this particular tool and can comment on its quality? Also, is it driven by a socket driver or used by hand? It looks like it might just have a screwdriver type handle on it. Ken300D |

Baum has very high quality tools. I bought my valve adjustment wrenches from them years ago for my old 200d. No worry as far as what they sell, it is not "Made in China" stuff.

I agree that with a reamer you're going to need a socket driver to get enough torque on it to work.
My confusion is with the drawing Baum has vs. the picture of the tool Performance Products has. The Performance Products tool is obviously socket wrench driven and has a nice universal joint built into it. The Baum tool drawing shows no universal joint and it is unclear whether it is socket wrench driven or not - looking at the drawing. The business end of the tool, the actual reamer, looks the same on both tools. I'm sure the Baum tool is adequate quality if not better than the PP tool. If anyone has the Baum glow plug reamer, or if it is shown better in their catalog and you can find it, can I get a confirmation that it is a socket wrench driven tool? Thanks, Ken300D |
