Here in NYC not only will you receive a summons for working on your car while it's parked on city streets, you can also get one for washing your car or having a For Sale sign!

Houston, we have a problem.
I would object to the portable garages in nearly any neighborhood if it could be seen from anywhere. I have 27 MB and am constantly fixing $300-800 MB in my driveway and garage, and I live in an attached house in a neighborhood on the national historic register... and get this... after I got approval to install the basketball hoop on my garage, they asked me to be on the architectural committee. Yeah... I’m one of the people that says yay or nay to stuff like what color you want to paint your door on the outside of your house, but I’ve always got a POS non-running car in my driveway. The thing is... if it can be seen from the street and it looks like ****, I cover it. I don’t want to be perceived as the neighborhood junk man, even though I am. I grab stuff from peoples’ trash. But I pickup trash in the street too. I’m good enough. I’m smart enough, and gosh darn it, people like me.
... but I love being a junk man. Not where I planned to be when I started this hobby over 10 years ago.
