W123 Clock Issues

The clock in my 81 300D was working fine and now it's doing some wired stuff. My clock stops working at some point in the night so I reset it in the morning and then it seams to work fine through out the day but when I get in it the next morning it's apparent that it stopped again throughout the night. I set it again and again, it works fine throughout the day.

I've seen these clocks stopping working all together before but mine now works throughout the day and stops at night. Is there something that got disconnected that keeps the battery backed up or is my clock just on its way out?

Replacing the resistors might fix it, needs soldering.

My clock does the same thing. I've been putting off repairing it. I've seen the writeups to repair them but they're always the smaller clocks and I am unsure of if they would be the same procedure. I wonder what style yours is?

Capacitors are spanked and need replacement. Super common issue.

Same with the W126. Thought I ordered 2 capacitors to repair the clock in my 300SE, instead I ordered 2 bags of 50 each.

Happy to send some ot for some coffee money if needed.

I hate it when that happens.

My clock doesn't work at all. If it looks like those might help I'll get in touch.

Thanks! Do you know if my clock for the W123 uses the same capacitors? Also, does mine also take 2?
