Mb either had to sell $100k cars like Bentley and rolls Royce or cut cost to sell more quantities. It’s just the way things turned out

My reading of the article seems to say that MB had to cut the quality in order to cut the costs. That was to compete with the Lexus type vehicles. So I bought one and it is indeed a very, very good auto. I had always assumed that the accountants took control of the company but the article seems to make sense that they did the right thing.

But did I not just read that the new leader of the MB company was going to take the brand up to a very exclusive level and theoretically move away from the low price customer? When is that supposed to happen?
