Compared to where it sits without the spacer, yes. Sticking out unusually on the car, no. Without a spacer the wheels will be tucked in too close to the body and will rub the suspension. The spacer corrects the offset. Many people (myself included) consider spacers an extremely undesirable and potentially dangerous thing. Do some research if you are determined to go down that route.
