Does anyone know where to purchase genuine Bendix brake calipers?
I've looked everywhere and cannot find any online or bricks and mortar vendors who sell genuine Bendix brake calipers, new or remanufactured. Does anyone know who might sell these?

I can't answer it but Bendix is likely part of some conglomerate and the product might not have the name Bendix on it.

The original Bendix Corp. ceased to exist almost 40 years ago. The brand name "Bendix" is still in use, but the brake product line is limited to pads, shoes, rotors and drums. Calipers are no longer in production.

Mercedes Benz used Bendix, Girling and ATE(aka TEVES) rear calipers for the W123 300D.
ATE calipers are stlil available. Save some time, frustration, and money, with NEW ATE rear calipers. FWIW:
When I picked up my 85sd 12 yrs ago I switched to Bendix front and back.I picked them up at Autozone easier to replace for the long haul. They worked great and only replaced the fronts 1 time and that was in Jan. They sent out for both fronts and when they came they also had the Star on them put them on and a new FTE Master Cyl. I had trouble with the right side it wouldn’t bleed out, pulled it they looked at it said possibly paint inside they’ve seen it before. Next day after 4pm replacement arrived went to the garage slap it on and good as new. The only thing about Bendix is getting the hardware kit they can be hard to find and are pricey when you. In the past I could get a set for 7-8 bucks now they pushing up to $25. ATE kit is more plentiful and reasonable IMHO. In salt country there is only so much polishing and greasing one can do to save the pins when you are doing a pad job. On second 85sd I just did the fronts new rotors, bearings and a set of rebuilds from Autozone and MBZ pads. Now I’m set for the long haul. ![]() greazer2b |

I prefer the ATE too. I like the design of the pins with that little compression ring. Also ideal for driving out stuck pins with a drift. I smile every time I use a drift because I like the name.
