Essentially it is a rubber hose. If the original setup is fine the original tubing will likely last longer.

Why? I was thinking this was for the drain. But no this is the feed line. The feed line is fine and doesn’t need any improvement. It’s the drain that needs a reboot.

You guys are probably right. I think I have a leak at the banjo bolt and was wondering about this as a replacement. Maybe I'll just source a new banjo bolt, eye fitting and copper washers and keep the existing rigid tubing. Are those banjo bolts a standard size? Where can those be gotten from?

Maybe try the easy stuff first like tightening. Then crush washers.

I tried tightening. I want to get a new bolt, eye socket and crush washers.

The eye bolt is integrated with the supply tube. It is probably fine. The bolt too. Look at it, if it is not damaged, there is no issue. Crush washers are cheap, and if you get them from the dealer you save hours of searching for the correct size.

I once got a Banjo fitting (female side and washers) for a Bosch fuel pump male (bolt) outlet (gasoline cars) via a Delorean parts place. I know strange, but they used many Euro parts like a Renault engine. I don't know if the same size. Next time stripping a M-B at the junkyard, perhaps grab some, like at the fuel filter and injection pump.
