FSM newbie ? What is type 123.1?

I understand the chassis model w123 and the chassis model type code but…
123.123= 240D
123.133 = 300D
123.190 is 300TD na
123.193 is 300TD turbo …et al

What is a 123.1?

I've seen it used in cases where it means that it applies to all of the models.

A .1xx after the chassis type (115, 116, 123, 124, 126, etc.) indicates diesel engine. A .0xx indicates petrol engine.

Thank you both.. That’s reassuring. These cars are so ubiquitous, it wasn’t until i got the manuals when i realized how many variations and revisions there were. Getting the right part numbers has a new level of importance. I just got a new oil line in the mail for my 123. It arrived in a 5” x 5” x 2” box(the 123’s are like 3” long, rigid steel) Yep! I ordered one for the w115. Devil’s in the details and Mercedes is hell for my ADD.
