OM602.911 Oversized Piston?

Looking at a rebuild for my 190D. Perusing the EARLY FSM says to replace the liners as no oversized pistons were allowed. A later version is a tad ambiguous in the “Germinglisch” translations, it mentions the oversized 87.7mm piston. I know some non sleeved engines, the 603.97x comes to mind, that were initially not authorized to be sleeved (they weren’t from the factory) but later allowed. Is there anyone who’s run into this? Btw my engine, per the FSM, was sleeved. Thanks! Clip
