OM602 How freely should turbo spin?

Trying to diagnose a boost issue. Removed the intake to turbo and tried to spin it. It moves freely and without any noticeable resistance. But I can't get it to spin without my hand actually moving it. Does that sound OK or should it spin more freely?

You expect perpetual movement?

If it spins, no sideway, in-out movement then it should be good.

Probably a vacuum leak or one of the transducers went bad. The turbo sounds fine.

Transducers and all vacuum on that side of the engine bay are gone due to wastegate conversion...so that's not it.
