Hi, does anyone know where the junction box is located on a 1986 190d? I am having starting issues. New ignition switch, cleaned all of the grounds, battery is good, all bushings are good and the car won't start in neutral. This has been an intermittent problem, mostly after it rains.'

Does the engine turn over? When you say it doesnt start, it could mean it wil not start, but cranks, or it does nothing. If it does nothing, it could be your neutral safety switch on the tranny. How about park? Does it crank in park?

It does nothing. I am now able to start it by turning the keywith the car in neutral. Just wondering if there is a way to bypass the switch on a w201 190d in case I get stuck before I buy a new Neutral Safety Switch.
