best value upper ball joint for W140 300SD?
We have a W140 that has bad upper ball joints and it's getting to the point where it's very rough riding at high speeds. Are there any good value upper ball joint control arms out there?

Lemforder used to have good quality and value, but I don't know about on your particular year and model. Also, hard to know as time has passed where they might now be made.

They start at around $30 and go up from there, countless companies selling the (likely) same part made by the few companies that actually produce them, whether Lemforder makes their own I cannot say, but the Lemforder box will likely be a lot more expensive.
A casual glance at ******* says the MB control arms are 188.xx / 154.xx each and the Lemforder are slightly less...as are all other 'makers' offered by FCP. If you look at Rock Auto they start at $30 and go up to $119 each side, various 'makers.' It all depends on what you mean by value IMO. I don't honestly remember what I bought years ago to replace them. But bear in mind that none of these companies likely made the product you're buying...just repackaging another's product and reselling it. Finding these isn't a problem, but picking one of another is a bit of a chore because they're all the same IMO. Steve
