Bowden Cable Rubber Bellows?
Some years back mice must have chewed on it. Would like to replace it; my engine compartment on the 82 300cd is really clean, but then I see this. Anyone have them from parts cars or whatnot? I assume it’s just an easy stretch over and fit?

Quote:
It would not look nice but you could use a finger from a rubber or latex glove and use wire around it to clamp the ends down.

When I did a google image search for, small rubber cable bellows some generic ones show up.
Similar ones showed up with I did an eBay search for, bicycle brake cable bellows. You might ask at a large bike shop that sells Moutain Bikes and the like. Will they hold up under the under the hood environment is unknown. This company sells as an internet order on Walmart: LYUMO 5PCS Mountain Bicycle Bike V Brake Cable Rubber Boots Protective Hose Sleeve Cover Replacement , Bike V Brake Cable Boot, V Brake Cable Sleeve.

I ride bicycles. My wife rides bicycles. The bellows from a mountain bike would not hold up. They don't hold up well even on a bicycle.
They end up splitting on one end or the other. They are inexpensive. Feel free to try one. Report back if it works. I'd like to be wrong (in this case).
