The truism holds: "No good deed goes unpunished".

Greazzer has done a great job navigating the pitfalls by doing top notch work, communicating nuances and protecting his biz with disclaimers.
Not that these measures would stop an idiot Karen !

Customer Service is difficult and doing customer service long term takes patience and discipline IMO. Customer Service is a tough job.

My all time fav's, not in any particular order, have been the following over the years:

1. Customer says he or she has never done injectors, which is why the injectors are headed my way ... (fast forward a few minutes in the conversations), and the customer is telling me how I am doing injectors wrong, and I basically do not know what I am doing. (fast forward a few more minutes in the conversation where I point out I have literally done over 1,000 sets, well over 5,000 injectors, ... ), and the customer insists I am really lucky all those years because I am missing the boat and he or she knows better.

2. Customer tells me my prices are way too high and he or she "knows" a shop which can do them at half the price. I say, I would go to them and certainly not me. Instead of accepting this, customer wants to debate and negotiate a lower price. When I point out all the various costs elements, and there's no fortunes to be made, and all the shops I know charge literally double or more, I get the ultimatum either accept $X dollars or he or she is walking. I do point out I already suggested to the customer to walk, I am way too pricey.

3. Customer orders the service and when the injectors arrive, there's the "where is my new nozzles?" I point out the price of the service and the price of new nozzles, I get the all time fav, "I want my money back ... you cheated me ..." When I point out my website says over and over I am only providing a service, I ask how is that deceptive. My next fav is that was just updated. After I point out the price for new nozzles, I get that is my problem ...

4. I want my money back. Pick an event or time. I have had folks go back years, or my car is not much faster. It no longer smokes, no longer shakes, and it is really quiet, but it is still fast as an early 1980 MB diesel, so I feel cheated. I have around a dozen folks over the years somehow insist they want their money back AND they want the benefit of my service. My guess these folks may suffer from some sort of predicament where they go around hunting for the freebies.

So, for the few folks who have pinged me about taking up the challenging and providing the injector service with my absence, please be prepared for the one or two folks out of 100 which makes the process interesting.

When I drove down to M & D Dallas location to pickup several injector springs, I asked what they charged for the injector cleaning & testing. As I recall it was about $65 each just for the labor portion if I provided the new parts.

Very doubtful if they would be as thorough as you. Hoping I can find the time to pull my original injectors and send them before you quit the rebuilding service.

For the handful of folks who pinged me about my injector equipment, you are first in line so to speak. The one person who already offered me whopping $20 for my pop tester, please save your keystrokes. I am not giving stuff away; however, I will be by far the least expensive option out there. I will be selling practically everything except my normal shop equipment, e.g., vice, hand tools, et cet.

I will be taking injector orders, lift pump orders, et cet., until 31 October 2022. That's around 3 1/2 months from now. My website should be long gone by then, but you can always PM here.

I will be selling everything which I can starting around the end of November. Please note -- once you get your injectors, please let me know if there is some sort of issue as this is it for me.

I will have at least four ultrasonic cleaners, either 2L or 1L for sale. Both are great for injectors. I have so many because I never comingle parts. I have generally up to eight at a time to do whole sets at once to save time. They can last up to four years from my experience. Sometimes they die within a month. So, other than making sure they work when they leave me, and I am currently using them now, that's all I can offer.

Shims -- by far the most desired and least available item. I am either selling all of them in one giant kit or breaking them up into smaller kits. I probably have well over 3,000 shims for the OM616 OM617 family of engines. All the GM and VW stuff is already promised to one person who I have known for years.

Nozzles -- After close to 2,000 sets over the last decade, I have kept nozzles which had some life in them. Not sure how to break them up, but I have a lot. I have literally tossed 1,000s over the years. I probably have close to 300 now which will be for sale.

Miscellaneous fuel parts for the diesel family of engines -- I am thinking just one giant jumbo box or specific items if folks need something specific.

If you have something specific you need, PM now since I can probably sell it now because I have so much of everything.
