1983 300sd door lock wiring

I was sold a 300sd under the pretense the door lock worked until he changed the door handle. I notice there is a cable coming off the door hand that’s not plugged in. It’s three prong similar to what is plugged into the actual actuator.

This is the wire plugged into the actuator. The guy told me it worked before he changed the handle so I’m wondering if he wired it wrong as it turns the pump on when I unlock the doors but nothing when I lock it.

MB connectors are usually 'keyed' so that they only plug in one way.
The connector on the door appears to have a chuck missing.
This may allow the improper wiring connection that is causing your issue.
