Starter not engaging some times.

Several times a month the starter would just click, but would crank by jumping
electrical wires at tie block on right inner fender. No worries, always started.
Several years pass, now starter some times hangs, OK time to buy a starter!
Before I can install I trip on some stairs, there goes my right arm and shoulder
for well over a year. Now what to do. Same starter working good.
Problem Was dry shaft on rear of starter, My fix, spray oil on back of starter
and between starter and transmission, take air pressure and blow in.
Problem solved.

Try breaking the upper bolt loose first and if you can get that bolt loose change the starter. If the upper bolt won't break loose, ride the wave and replace it when you must...my $0.02 USD
