The relay with that part number is in the attached picture. It is found behind the instrument cluster. I don't have one I am going by a picture from the Mercedes Service Manual.

That whole instrument cluster is held in with the friction of a rubber band that that you cannot see from the front.

So, the instrument cluster pulls out towards the rear of the car. There is a tool with hooks for that but many persons just push it out from the rear.

To do that you remove the kick panel that is above your lower legs under the dashboard. You need to do that anyway because often you need to up on the speedometer cable to allow slack for the instrument cluster to come out.

Are you sure the relay has failed?

Have you checked thw plugs and the fuse?

Sorry for the double post, I know it confuses things. I will try to delete it.

I checked the fuse and it is good. All plugs are getting 12V.
The relay is acting up, if I bang on it with a screwdriver it will work, sometimes.
I took it apart and cleaned the contacts and checked for bad connections, but I didn't see anything. It is probably the capacitor(s). I decided to go with a relay bypass kit.
