W110 - 1967 Mercedes 200D color wiring diagram
I'm looking for a blown up color wiring diagram applicable to the fintail 200D's, and possibly some advice if anyone has any additional tips for me,
I picked up a 200D recently, but about half the lights didn't work when I first got it. I did fix a few of them by cleaning corrosion on the fixtures/bench testing them one by one and replacing a couple switches. I still have some issues that I'm running out of ideas on how to fix. What doesn't work: high beam flashing (high beam regular works + switch is NOS), parking lights on either side (used to work), rear headlights (only one of the mini bulbs lights up when headlights are on), What doesn't seem to work properly but works: the headlights turn on one click to the light. From a diagram I found online, I believe first click is supposed to be all the lights but the headlights and the headlights are supposed to be the second click to the right, That switch was also replaced with a used working, thought the original switch tested funny on a multi meter (plus the column switch and emergency flasher switches were also bad). Long story short, I'm looking for a color schematic so I can trace down, one by one, the remaining lights that don't work + make sure my headlight switch is wired correctly. Would appreciate a copy or happy to pay since information on these is so scarce, just itching to figure this out because its killing me rn. |

Eeh...a rather challenging task ...
Here, page 363- is the electrical system. There is no color diagram,of course, but on page 374 is the schematic diagram of 190Dc which is not that different to 200D (floor dimmer switch incorporated in the blinker mechanism 1965- , as described below in the dutch site). Also , on page 393 - is the description , colors etc. of the leads and contacts . Rotary light switch descr. on page 422...yeah,messy stuff as it is a whole ,combined .pdf and not very easy to navigate. https://dn790007.ca.archive.org/0/items/MB-W110_W111_FSM/w110-111-workshop-manual-volume-2.pdf Cool site about the fintails : https://www.heckflosse.nl/wheel4.htm If you plan to keep the vehicle, you may want to obtain MBUSA FSM "Early Model Years", vol.3 (QL-6516-5614-02) + the "Nervig Indexes" (also, because of the "flash plugin" nonsense one may have to use the .pdf's,without flash navigation which afaik is not supported anymore...what a nonsense) . It may have smth. that is omitted in the below files, I do not remember well. Also Chilton's ISBN 0-8019-5536-X , cheap and handy ($11--,depending on condition) . P.S.
