Exclamation FSS says " Coolant level is low.."

Just wanted to share with those out there with the 606 engine, a message that I read the other day. The engine is tight, uses no fluids or has no leaks, but after 5 years according to my mechanic the engine can boil off a little. He had some big technical name for it, but I had the new shop around the corner from me add some water, and so far so good.

By the way, I am back!!!!!

Chris, the only flaw in the "5 year boil off" is that you should be doing a coolant flush every 3 years.

Chris, the only flaw in the "5 year boil off" is that you should be doing a coolant flush every 3 years. Also the coolant level warning, as all other warnings, are in the multifunction display, FSS is just one of the warnings. The multifunction display is not the FSS.

5 YEARS WOW!!!
My father had a Taurus that he never changed the coolant in. The engine in it went out at around 120k miles because of this (cylinder head issues) and he just traded it in. You shoulda seen the gunk that was in the radiator.
