rear end noise not solved
After 3 weeks of waiting for part(swaybars) which had to come to Osoyoos,BC from USA,and when those are not any more plastic, but steel ones,my garage replaced it.
However the problem described in my post many weeks ago (just strange ratling soound emanating from rear side) is there again without any change. We have to look for another case, which we will do next week.I will keep all posted. Thanks MVK and leathermang for your help.If someone else had this ghost in 300SD ,tell me. |

You say you had the sway bar replaced or the sway bar end links? My SD was making funny noises and the sway bar end links cured the prob.

Hi Ivo:
I am confused here. Swaybars are always metal. Its the swaybar links that are plastic. So which one did you get. i think we talked about the plastic swaybarlinks ( about 8$). Also while you are at it check the bushings for the rear swaybar. Make sure they are in good shape and also nicely fastened via the mount.( Usually they are fine and not a bigger problem unless they are totally rotten) Try moving the sway bar by hand near the vicinity of the swaybar mount snd there should not be a major play.( a slight movement is ok) So which one did you replace?? MVK
