Delodur rear window. Keep or toss?
Out of the other 300D's I've owned/own, the rear glass has always been Sekurit. On my 82 that is headed to the boneyard very soon, it's a Delodur. Has the Mercedes symbol on it and all, so it's a stocker (or so I believe). Front windshield is Sigla, side windows are Sekurit. Should I pull it out and keep it for something, or just let it go to the yard like that? I'd hate to throw a good window away for nothing. Front windshield has a repaired star in the center from a rock a while ago, I bought it like that 4 years ago.

I believe the wagons also used Delodur as a brand on some of the windows. If it's in good shape, and you have the space (or buyer) - keep it. Especially if the rear defrost lines are intact.

I have a Delodur rear window on my 300D, but I ruined the defrost lines so I have a replacement Sekurit waiting to be installed.
I'd keep or send it over here so I can have the same factory installed original brand. ![]()
