Fuel drip rate?? '83 300D

I took the fuel lines off of all the injectors to see how much was being squirted out. Much to my amazement, it was just a little drip at each line. I know that the real squirt or spray happens inside the head at the injector, but I thought I'd see a little more action at the end of each tube. How much should I expect to see?
