Performance Products

Just got a catalog from these folks. Mostly W123 specific. Are they for real? They seem to have a LOT of what I thought would be impossible to find parts, the hi speed fan button on the climate control for example. Anyone done business with them? Anyone know of more vendors like this with tons of parts for these things. Prices are OK but there are items that I'd much rather buy through this site. Performance Products does have what looks like a very complete carpet set and all the necessary parts to re-build the front seats. My 83 is about to receive some 20 yr old birthday party stuff!

Just got battery tray and seat belt relay from them. Quick service and nice over the phone. BTW, they run sales several times during the year. If you get carpets, let me know what you think. Am interested also.

i happen to live relatively close-by to their store. dropped by a couple of weeks ago and found the place to be professionally run, without any of the b.s. found at other "high end" auto parts stores.

i bought some filters, belts, etc., and they're all OEM names - hengst, mann, etc. no garbage.

i wouldn't hesitate to order from them...

I too have used them when Fastlane did not carry something.. and they were very nice on the phone and shipped fast...Their catalog has nice line drawings of parts according to system... like vacuum... engine.. etc... I keep it as reference for its clarity...

I have used them many times, and their prices can be much less than my local import auto parts store. They were even nice enough to send me a confirmation e-mail when they sent out my order letting me know the date when my order was to arrive. They seem to have some of the best prices on OEM filters.

I have had only one problem with them. I ordered a full set of sunroof gaskets. Problem was, The front gasket was about 7 inches too short. I called them up, they checked the length of the others and said "they are all that length, you can return it if you want" They didn't admit that the parts were defective. I had too return them. Bummer.

We like them around here in Michigan with one exception. The pony express delivers faster. 2-3 weeks usually with about 4 such experiences.

Hi Nathan, 300DT is the 300D Turbo to differentiate from the regular 300D.
