w123 cargo nets on seat backs

okay... so almost everyone with their original cargo nets on the seat backs probably has them sagging. i was looking at mine the other day and figured it looks like it shouldn't be hard to take the net and pull it tight and then sinch it down under the plastic frame holding them on- thus making them attractive and useful once again.

so i went to attempt to remove my plastic frame. i could get the lower horizontal peice out but pushing it down and sliding a little arm out of the holes in the seat back. for the life of me i couldn't get the vertical peices out, especially at the top where the net attaches.

ANY ideas?! i NEED to be careful with this plastic frame as it is VERY expensive to replace- as in $200 or higher.
