Source for W123 stainless lug bolts?
Looking for a source for some stainless (I'd begrudgingly take chrome) lug bolts for "Bundt" style alloys. I'll probably lose my will to live if I have to put my nicely refinished alloys and new tires on with mangy looking stock bolts....

I think FastLane here has them. I got a few sets awhile back for the later W124 300D and also a W126 300SE.

Nope....
...appears they've just got "stockers". SOMEONE'S gotta' make something better....or I'll have to sort through my stash and have some chromed.
Thanks... Jim |

You can get plastic beauty caps that look just great for less than twenty bucks.

I painted mine the same color as the wheels when I put the new tires on. I thought this was factory specs. I did try to locate some stainless, but ran into the same situation you seem to be in now. The bolt heads look great now (didn't even crack off when torqueing! - LUCK) but how long will they stay that nice is the question? If I located some stainless I would buy them, but I'll probably squirt some more paint on them when they start to look scuzzy. Wire wheel them, epoxy primer, then paint. I said "I", but a paint shop did the work after I cleaned and lightly wetsanded the wheels.
