Potentional Soundsystem...
This is my potential soundsystem: trying to keep with the German engineered feel of the car. Here we go.
(2) 6x9 MB Quart DK149 Speakers And a Blaupunkt BPV660 CD Receiver (57.5 Watts Mx Output) 99 dollars on ebay. Or a Blaupunkt Santa Fe (45 Watts Max Output) 99 Dollars on ebay, cleaner looking then above. Or a Blaupunkt Miami Beach (50 Watts Max Output) Pretty good looking, 110 one ebay, flashy, but an engineered look. Opinions? |

I see you're into blaupunkt, so I'm not going to go with my preferance here. But I would choose the one with the best features and controls. So I guess get the newest, highest end model of them. All of them have sufficient wattage to do whatever you want. So the power isn't an issue with any of them.

I upgraded the sound system on my diesel since it was my daily driver and I like good tunes.
I'm a big MBQuart fan, I've installed them on two other cars and will upgrade my OEM Bose's with them after warranty. However, for the diesel I went with JL Audio all around and 8" Sub. You are missing amps, and if you go with Alpine as I did you will have clean power to drive the well rounded sound dynamics of JLAudio. I think the dynamic range of upper end MB Quart's is lost in the din that is the diesel compartment....JMHO
