Well did you guys see the results of the 1983 300SD that sold last week at an Estate auction? 29K original miles. I was planning to bid on the car until it went over $10,000. The car sold for $16,500. Yikes!

What's with the odometer??? It only goes to the 10 thousands place. It gets to 99,999 miles and then rolls over to zero???

That car is immaculate inside and out!

hmmm so it's very possible that car has 120K on it. But in that condition it's not likely or even possible.

People who don't remember five-digit odometers make me feel old.

Next I'll have kids screaming at me "Hey, where's your third brake light! You're a road hazard!"

heh heh sorry Ken!

It seems as though my car is the only one around that has no 3rd brake light!

At a family reunuon this year I was driving an old Chevy pickup truck with hand cranked windows. My 17 year old cousin got in the truck and wanted to know what the strange cranks on the door panel were used for. He was astonished when I turned the crank and the window went up!!

It was one of those "wake-up" moments for me - time is indeed passing.
