I got a friend to hold a spare belt as I loosened the bolt holding the clutch on. After breaking the bolt free I just held the hex key and he spun the belt, unthreading the bolt

That will allow the belt to act as a strap wrench. DARN --- that center bolt is HARD. I've been fighting it for like an hour.
