Kyle,
Thanks for the vote of confidence. If you ordered one, you got two or three. Enjoy. Whoever said I was learning to lie and stall like a lawyer, I don't intend to practice corporate law. My focus is on First Amendment law. I want to spend my career writing policy, Amicus Curiae briefs or teaching. Alex

All they're talking about doing here in Canada is decriminializing the stuff. So you'd get a fine - kind of like a parking ticket for having a small amount of m.j.
I guess Canada and the US are like the only countries left that seem to make a big criminal deal of having a small amount of marijauana on your person. I'd rather see the police busting the REAL bad guys than hassling the common Joe who has a joint for personal use. Not that I would use & smoke the stuff - I heard it looks kind of like oregano??? :p Aivars ps The Premier of Newfoundland just came out yesterday & said we should legalize it & tax it & make extra $$ for the gov't coffers. Perhaps a man ahead of his time??? |

Something for Newfies to do
It seems to me that Newfoundland needs something to support itself now that the cod have vanished.
There is always screech, but cheap booze is available anywhere in the world. Hidroponic weed might just be the ticket, something to keep the folks going through the winter. If Canada decriminalizes, it seems to me that the US will also have to cease being so paranoid over pot. Jailing people for getting high is hardly useful. If it is now true that peddling pot helps the terrorists, it should be a good thing for the newfies to grow it and sell it, rather than leave all the profits for those horrid terrorists.

There are enough 1st amendment lawyers already. How about the 2nd, or 10th, or the enumeration clause? They don't get enough face time.

LOL. Sounds like canada is on the right track. Woohoo to canada for doing something first, I wish the US would follow this role reversal and follow
P.S. Richard, it wouldn't matter if it was hydro or not, either way it would be a big step....I may be biased, i just returned from a trip to europe and amsterdam a few weeks ago :-)...plus some prefer the taste of bio :-)

Hydroponic Newfies?
I suppose from the consumers point of view it might not be so important if the Newfie pot were hydro or bio, I just said this because the Sun tends to not come out in the winter in Newfoundland.
I saw the film "The Shipping News", filmed in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland itself, and that is one harsh country up there. I am still awaiting my stickers. Perhaps today will be the day!

Richard hydro or bio is both grown indoors with artificial HID lighting... it usually comes down to an argument between taste(bio) and yield per sq/ft(dro). Don't ask me how I learned about all of this in college

heathen devil dope weed---I tell ya!
blaze the cheeba ~~ luv that slang. Reminds me of the time I got heat for carrying. The law officer called it "Hooch". I nearly pissed myself laughin when he said " where's the rest of the hooch, punk". Upon reflection, I shouldnt have laughed, but what else would a 20 year old stoned kid do in a situation like that? Ah, yeah.......

I think perhaps I am out of line to say anything regarding this seeing as i didn't or anything, but im just disappointed that people are giving him such a hard time.
Alex didn't do this to make money, and whatever money he earned didn't justify the time he spent making the sticker, writing out all those envelopes- it is a logistical nightmare, and the headache he has since dealt with. afterall, they are just stickers, even if someone did scam you it isn't worth the fuss for a few bucks. i just feel like we should treat eachother better, especially alex. eric

bill, i recommend you immediately cease taking that stuff!!! i believe it is an allergic reaction you are experiencing for sure. i would be very surprised if it isn't -
your doc shud still be open call them and tell them what's happening and ask for something else. not later - now!!

Guys, this is nuts... I have hardly the time for anything anymore, finally get back on the posts just to read all this crap on stickers, politics, taxes and ethics. DieselHead, one word of wisdom from one professional to another, be very careful what you get yourself into. Unless it makes you lots of money, gives you personal pleasure or the pleasure for those less fortunate, its not worth doing. May sound selfish, narrow and harsh, but at the end of the day, you have to sleep with it.
As for the rest of you, your concerns and issues are quite valid. Good thing I did not like the decal, for I would be livid myself... Well, hope everyone is well... |
