84 300DT Vacuum pump DIY

I'm planning to change the vacuum pump gasket on my 266k '84 300DT tomorrow. I did the basic search but did not find a step-by-step (THIS IS MY FIRST MAJOR DIY)
procedure. Can someone give me the procedures on how to change the gasket. And by the way, do I have to drain the oil before I do this? Thanks .
