Mickey Mouse on hard turns
Just noticed something, since this was the first day I ran the car without aircon. During hard turns there is a distinct squealing noise coming from the rear of the car. Must have something to do with the suspension but the noise is only when taking hard turns at speed. From a stop and turn there is no noise. If anybody else out there with a wagon can let me know what this sound is...thanks a bunch,

Since no one responded I figured I would have to use the "search" function to find out some info on this forum. Well it didnt really help and now I notice that the sound is very much like metal screeching on metal and only occurs on hard right turns, to make matters worse, it is only occasionally. Again, if someone had something similar to this happen to them, please shed some light on the subject. Bad shock? Bad boot? (does it even have boots back there???) Or worse?

IMHO, bad wheel bearings on the rear or a bad axle shaft on the rear. Jack up the rear and try to wobble the tire/wheel assembly from side to side and from top to bottom. If you have any noticeable play, you have a problem with that wheel. That should tell you about the bearings.
