It may be a broken cable. It may be the quick shoestring fix done in the rest stop when the plastic secondary hood release broke off sending me flat on my southbound. It is a broken cable.
My problem is that I pulled the release in the interior, the hood made the usual chunk sound. When I scurried outside to pull on my shoestring, the hood was shut tight, entrance was denied. My question is how do I get the primary hood release to release.
I could fix the broken release cable, the totally discharged battery (it does that occasionally just to keep me in confusion), or even feed my hands to the radiator as a true shadetree mechanic, so that my 300d auxillary fan would sound like a Cessna taking off. I mention this as proof positive I did read 367 other queries attempting to avoid the embarrassment of admitting the car has temporarily defeated me.
Your careful consideration is appreciated as I can annoy more neighbors with symphony of diesel than I can as a yard ornament.
Thank you
David
