Where to buy the Hard Plastic Vacuum Lines

I've looked everywhere, but the Mercedes Dealer because I have no time to drive to Columbus. And I'm not sure if they even carry those line. Is there any other lines that work, I'm just tired and could use any help you guys could give me.

P.S. The reason I'm bringing it up now is because I just got my transmission rebuilt, and it shifts awsome now, but there is still a rough shift because of the time I was working under the hood, and the line broke.

How fast did you need them?

I'm looking at a catalog right this minute from Performance Products for the W123 and they sell the hose for $0.06/cm.

You will need to calculate how much you need/want.

Go to their website www.************************

You can sign up for a free 1 year subscription and they will send you the same catalog that I get.

Did you try Partshop here? You can probably get it there also.

Good luck,
Frank

What's the problem with using a piece of rubber vacuum line to splice it back together?

splice it

Steve,
If all you need to do is splice it, go to a local hobby store and some fuel line tubing. You need to be sure not to have more than 1-2 inch 'gap' between the spliced ends as the splicing peice will col apse. I did this repair at a few locations on my 240. If you need a long peice of the tubing you will need something stiff enough.

I bought some from the MB dealer here. It is not color coded just all white. To color code it I used red and green sharpie pens.

Well it's not just the Transmission, I'm missing a line, and there all pretty cracked so I wanted to replace as many as I could. I have a magazine from Performance Products but they just have the soft rubber repair lines, and I could get them from Autozone. How much are the lines at the dealer? And do they always have them?

the lines

The dealer should have the line in stock, an it is a commonly needed item. Call them first. I don't know fo sure but you might be able to find something similiar that will work at a hardware store. Cost at the dealer is about 20 cents a foot.
