Guide Rod Mount. How hard to replace?

Gotta get that pop outta the old 240D. Any advice would be appreciated.

This is one of the jobs I took to the local independent to learn how to do it. I was under the impression that they had to compress the spring to do it but they did not. It pretty much was brute force on the lower control arm to pull it forward enough to allow room for the mount to be removed. He did both of them for under $100 which I thought was a fair price. I did supply the parts.

Don't know how the 240 is set up. On my 300SD, just unbolt mount bracket from frame, and unscrew the guide rod.
I got lucky, my wrecked parts car had like new front end. Just changed the brackets
