Spo.. on the street is another 300SDL, an 86 and a 94 Nissan Maxima ( ). The little toro got most of the work done but I just ran out of fuel. Might have to suction some gasoline out of my mom's Taurus to finish the job as all the cars are still snowed in. I guess a gasoline powered car comes in handy once and a while

84300DT - believe it or not, we actually got it worse here in DC! There are many cars parked in the neighborhood roads of DC that are completely buried. You can't see anything but a huge mound of snow and maybe a rearview mirror sticking out.

I was getting cabin fever, so I stupidly drove my 300D out last night to look around, and I was surprised to see that it is a real trooper in the snow! I'm guessing that because the thing is so heavy it doesn't get stuck that easily.

Then again, maybe I just got lucky!

greg s - yes i believe you guys did get dumped on a bit worse than here if that's possible. agree, the 300D is not too bad in snow -
mine's still buried and it's snowing again now

In NW NJ we got over 2 feet. My Toro snowblower cut thru the snow like "Jack the Bear", while my 300D rested comfortably in the garage.

Commute this AM was a breeze,,,,,the interstates were clear and there wasn't alot of traffic. Even the roads in Sparta we pretty good, they know what they're doing up there.

The only bad news is I am responsible for Distribution and Transportation for a Pharma company. Not alot is moving today. People have a hard time understanding that if they can't get to work, then neither can distribution center employees and freight carriers.

I have also learnt that the W123 is really not bad at all in the snow. Mine don't even have snow tires and it almost moves like an SUV!

My dad says the same about ours... She is great until she stop movin' :-)

and to think that three days ago, I was outside in my shorts and bare feet, picking weeds. (it was 77°)

I remember snow storms, and I don't miss them one bit. I do however miss a nice fireplace to sit by when its cold out; and believe me, after a few years of living down here you get soft, and suddenly 50° is cold.

dug a hole in the snow to get into the driver's door. dug out a bit in the rear of car. got in car. engine roared to life. put car in reverse + floored it shook like a mad dog and launched itself backwards clear out of the snowbank

from buried to unburied in 10 minutes!!
