Suggestions on how to add a Coolant Recovery Tank on a N/A 300CD ?
I am thinking about adding a coolant recovery tank on my n/a 300CD, but am not sure on what type I should get and where to install it. Most of the ones I have seen almost look to large, plus I have to deal with space being taken up by the A/C Servo. Any suggestions on how to do this and type to use.

I went to one of my local autopart stores, and they had one that is small enough to fit into the limited space. I also figgured out how and where to install it.

For this to work for sure... you are need to find out for sure which type of system you (we) have....some cars run a atmospheric pressure until the radiator gets above that.... some are pressurized all the time... this may make a difference as to whether or not you need to have the escape tube go into the bottom of the catch can... and whether you need to have a pressurized radiator cap on the catch can...
I ran across this info lately and I do not know any more than that... just that to be sure your work does not go for naught...you need to be sure your basic physics are correct for the situation... hope you figure it out and tell me (us)...LOL ... I want one also.. and I want the kind which evacuates the air bubbles from the system when it vents... Central Texas requires it... for instance... in 1996 we had 101 degrees on the 16th of FEBURARY... |

The kit that I just bought, comes with a little gasket to add to the radiator cap, for those systems that are not pressurized all the time. I think my car is one of those that is not pressurized all the time, the turbo cars are, I think. My biggest worry was where to install the thing, and I found a good location, but I think every car will be slightly different.
