Page # for Climate Control on Factory CD

Does anyone know the page number of the factory climate control manual that has the trouble shooting info for a 1981 300TDt Climate Control system? I can't seem to find it on my CD version.

I just put in my factory CD and found climate control with no problem. Climate Control is one of the main manuals listed. Then it breaks it down by which version your car has.

I've found it on my CD too I just can't seem to locate the page for my particular car. I can find the page for the oldest style (pre 1981) but I can't find the one for the 1981-1985 style. If you can find it would you tell me the page number? I suspect there might be something wrong with my CD.

Let me ask you this, what does your climate control panel look like? Are there large buttons mounted vertically or horizontal. Do you have a seperate button to turn the A/C compressor on and off? My TD has the second version. Starting form the left I have the temp. select wheel. Then there 5 buttons across. First is the windshield defog, a button with 2 arrows highlighted, next only the button arrow is highlighted, then a button with "EC" on it. the last button is just a circle. This is the off button. The last "switch" is the fan speed.

Rick,
I have the same style as you. Can you help me find the page?

Ok. first I was mistaken on the type, we have version 3. Once you click on "Climate Control" you will be given a choice of versions, you want version 3. This will bring up a load of areas to go into. These areas are "sub-function groups". For the actual section number for troubleshooting, there are several different areas listed. There is the vaccuum circuit, the temp. sensor, etc. What specifically are you looking at?

The problem is that when I pull up the trouble shooting sections I can only find the old style climate control, not the kind I have. I think I have two copies of the old style and don't have my style but I'm trying to confirm this. Knowing the page number that the 81-85 style is supposed to be on will help a lot.

Pages 83-600 to about 83-679 cover the whole system. I don't see a specific page or section for trouble shooting although there are several sections for testing of various components. Hope this helps.

Yes, that helps. I'll check to see if I have that section.

I just checked. On my CD, 83-600 starts off with the older (pre 1981) system. I don't think it covers the 1981-1985 system unless the 83-6xx section splits somewhere.
