Auto Trans Shudder

Recently acquired 87 190 Turbo Diesel Automatic.

The transmission shifts fine except for an occasional jerk when taking off. The transmission seems to ingage drive but then when you accelerate the transmission makes a jerk as if it wasn't in drive. (If that makes sense???)

I serviced the transmission with a new filter and used a synthetic blend of fluid. Now the condition occurs more often.

Would the type of transmission fluid have any affect on this condition? I read an "alldata" post about this and it made reference to draining out 5 liters of fluid and adding a different fluid and listed a part #. I called the dealer and they told me they just use fluid from a barrel nothing special.

Any help is appreciated!!
