ow to stop cracks in blue w123 dashboard
Does anybody have any tips on how to stop the cracks in their tracks? I've a couple of small ones and would like to stop them growing - anyone tried any sort of glue?

I don't know how to repair them, but the blue dashes seem to all have that problem. Black dashes don't.

You'll probably think I'm nuts but I've stopped a couple of cracks from traveling by drilling a tiny hole (size 58-60 drill) at the end of the crack..... Your next step would be to find a blue filler material with some expansion characteristics to fill in the crack & hole.

You are thinking as I am. As a pilot, I often see these small holes drilled in plastic or fiberglass trim that is cracking on the aircraft(especially on the old junker's that I rent). On my upcoming major service, I'm going to ask the tech to drill this little hole on my small dash crack as well. Here I thought I was so clever! |

Buy a $50 dash mat and forget about it.
